How Come The Impeller Type Affect The Sewage Pumping Results?

Oct. 02, 2023

SINGLE-VANE CLOSED IMPELLER

with one channel, provide large flow passage and high efficiency, making them an ideal choice for conveying low-solid sewage.

MULTI-VANE CLOSED IMPELLER.png

MULTI-VANE CLOSED IMPELLER

with multi channels in closed design. It has the highest efficiency of all impellers mentioned here. It is primarily used for waste water with a low contamination load or for pre-treated waste water – especially with a large sand content.

SUPER VORTEX IMPELLER

It is also called free-flow impeller which is suitable for pumping sewage containing solid substances and long fibres, coarse solids, etc.

It offers the largest free passage of all available impeller types. This is why they are a good match for waste water with a large gas and sand content.

DIAGONAL SINGLE VANE IMPELLER

It handles fluids containing solids and long fibres, coarse fibres as well as entrapped gas or air. It is made to handle raw waste water, combined sewage, circulated and heating sludge as well as activated, raw and digested sludge with a solids content of up to 13 % as well as high-viscosity fluids. The best efficiency is 81 %. The free passage is large but slightly smaller than that of a free-flow impeller.

CUTTER

A cutter impeller is designed to handle wastewater and other liquids that contain solids such as faeces, fibers, hair, and other debris that can clog or damage traditional impellers as well as the discharge pipes. The cutter impeller has cutting edges that chop and shred the solid materials, allowing them to pass through the pump and into the discharge line without causing blockages or damage.
